You’ll always know where you stand with me.
I’ve sold more than 500 homes in Central Ohio since 2014. Expect honest guidance from me, including the parts you’d rather not hear, and a plan you can actually follow.
Based in Plain City. Working all over Central Ohio.
I ran restaurants for a decade before I ever sold a house.
After the Army I spent years in hospitality: Bonefish Grill, a Marriott food and beverage operation with a $12 million budget, J. Liu Restaurant Group, Cooper’s Hawk. Eighty hour weeks were normal. Eventually I figured if I was going to work that hard, I’d rather do it for myself.
My dad was a homebuilder, so I grew up around houses going up. At a graduation party, two top agents named Chip and Sue Parrish noticed how much I knew about construction and talked me into getting licensed. That was 2014.
I’ll never forget handing the keys to a Haitian mom at one of my closings. Nothing flashy about the house. She cried and told me she had dreamed about that day her whole life. That was when real estate stopped being sales to me.
Here’s what you can count on.
Straight answers
No fluff and no BS. That’s the rule our team runs on. If your price is high or the house has a problem, you’ll hear it from me first, along with what I’d do about it.
Somebody who knows houses
I grew up on my dad’s job sites. I’ll walk a home with you and tell you what would worry me and what wouldn’t, before you spend a dime on it.
Somebody who knows how deals go wrong
I sit on the Columbus REALTORS® grievance, professional standards, ombudsman and mediation panels, and I chaired the MLS Committee. I see the disputes up close, so I can spot where yours might go sideways and head it off early.
You won’t have to chase me
A decade in restaurants and hotels drilled one thing into me: the guest never has to come looking for you. You’ll get updates before you think to ask.

Reagan
In 2016 my wife Lindsay and I lost our son, Reagan Michael. He lived two hours, and he spent them in our arms.
We started the Reagan Michael White Fund through the OhioHealth Foundation at Riverside Methodist Hospital. We figured it would last a year or two. Ten years later it still covers rent, groceries, gas cards, lodging and funeral costs for families going through high risk pregnancies and infant loss. Every dollar raised goes to those families, and our community has put in more than $50,000 so far. Fat Head’s even brews a beer for him every year called Reagan’s Comet.
Losing him changed what I think matters. Life doesn’t pause for a closing date, and I know it. When something hard is going on behind your move, I’ll work around it with you.
“I’ve faced the worst life had to offer and I chose to become better and not bitter. That’s who I am.”
Husband, dad, divemaster, former ultrarunner.
Lindsay and I live in Plain City with our son Beckett and two Mini Aussiedoodles, Callie and Bodhi. I also have a grown daughter, Zoe.
After Reagan, I ran my way through the grief: 50Ks, 100Ks, 100 mile races, Ironman. These days you’re more likely to find me underwater. I’m a divemaster, I love a good shark dive, and Beckett often comes down with me.
I write about this industry, and I don’t go easy on it.

My Story
I spent ten years in the Army as a rigger. I'd never set foot on an airplane before jump school, and I jumped out of the first five I ever boarded. That's pretty much how I make decisions. When I commit, I'm all the way in.
That hasn't always worked in my favor. I've lived through years I'm not proud of. I've been broke, out of options and out of people to call, and I'm still here because a few people gave me grace I hadn't earned. One of them, a buddy I'd known since middle school, wired me $400 when I had nothing. At our class reunion years later I handed him four hundred dollars, and two grown men stood in a library crying for fifteen minutes. I think about him every time a client sits down across from me convinced they've already blown it.
Real estate found me by accident. I was running restaurants for Cooper's Hawk, working 80 hour weeks and walking in at 4 a.m. At a graduation party, Chip and Sue Parish asked how I knew so much about houses. My dad built custom homes. They said I should be selling them. Four days later I quit my job. Lindsay was pregnant, we had a mortgage, and she backed me anyway. That was 2014. She's been the glue on our team ever since. Yoshi, who used to pass me on the way to those 4 a.m. shifts, followed me out of the restaurant world a few years later. Today we're partners.
How I Work
Some people meet me and decide I'm a jerk. I'm direct and I have no patience for small talk. If your house is priced $30,000 too high, you'll hear it from me at the kitchen table before it sits on the market for six weeks. If the inspection report is ugly, I'll tell you what I'd do if it were my money.
The people who stick around find out I care a lot. That's exactly why I won't sugarcoat anything. I'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation on day one than a disappointed client at closing.
My running coach once told me ultramarathons are 90% mental. Then he told me the other 10% is mental too. I've finished 100 mile races since then, and he was right. A real estate deal gets hard somewhere around mile 70, and the people who keep showing up are the ones who get it done. I keep showing up. Work works, period.
The Record
More than 500 homes sold since 2014, with the $5M, $10M, $15M, $20M and $25M sales awards. ABR® instructor. I sit on the Columbus REALTORS® Grievance, Professional Standards, Ombudsman and Mediation panels, which means I've seen a lot of ways deals go wrong. That makes me pretty good at keeping yours out of that room.
I'm also a voting member of the Ohio REALTORS® Professional Development Committee, and I received the Ohio Good Neighbor Award in 2022.

What Clients Say
"If you are looking to buy a house, no matter how much you like a house, having a knowledgeable professional like Nathan on your side is one of the most important decisions you will make. Nathan’s expertise is highly valuable to any buyer, because he was honest and caring, always telling me his feedback and making sure that I do the right thing. Any agent can represent you, trying to get in a contract as soon as possible regardless of how bad that deal is. Nathan is not that type of person. He will tell you his opinion, if a property is overpriced or if it’s a good deal. He will check a lot of things on that property, before you will even have a professional inspector to come and inspect it for you. I would recommend Nathan to anyone who is looking for a great agent that will be on your side from start to finish, without rushing you to get into deals that doesn’t make sense."
Buyer client
"Nathan was very straight forward and down to earth. He was instrumental in guiding us through our first sale with zero anxiety. We were in contract in 4 days and even amid the covid-19 stay at home order, we were able to close with no issues due to all of his hard work and coordination. My wife and I will recommend Nathan to anyone we meet and will use him again in the future."

Outside the Business
Lindsay and I lost our son Reagan a few hours after he was born. We started the Reagan Michael White Fund through OhioHealth Riverside Methodist so families going through high risk pregnancies and infant loss get help with things nobody plans for, like gas cards, lodging, care packages and memorial items. Every dollar goes straight to those families. It started with a beer called Reagan's Comet, brewed by our friends at Fat Head's, and they still brew it every year.

When I'm not working, I'm usually underwater. I'm a certified divemaster, and my son got his junior certification the day he turned 10. Diving next to him is the best thing I do.
